2 Alarm Fire in Malden Destroys Vacant House

Just after 2AM on Sunday September 2nd Malden 911 began receiving calls for a house fire on Williams Street. Police on arrival reported fire showing. The Deputy Chief arrived on scene and reported fire showing through the roof on the A/B corner of a 2.5 Story Vacant Wood Frame at 115 Williams Street.

The deputy immediately ordered a Working Fire and advised companies that this was on a dead end street and long hose lays would be needed. At 2:26AM after problems were discovered with multiple hydrants in the area a 2nd Alarm was ordered. 

2nd Alarm companies were advised to tag hydrants and bring in a good water supply. Later into the fire the roof collapsed. The fire was reported Knocked Down shortly after 3AM.

Mutial Aid was provided at the fire and to cover stations from Everett, Medford and several other departments.
